Spring Season Update!
Teams have been formed, and coaches should be contacting you with team details within the next few days. Many folks have been on Spring break over the past week including coaches and the folks that put schedules together. We are actively recruiting for additional coaches, so possibly you have heard from Josh Clawson, Coaches Rep/Board member. Our team information has been submitted to North County, so they creating a schedule for the spring season, and MYSC will post it at our website & notify all participants as soon as it is available.
MYSC will host about 400 players in the 3rd Spring Soccer Season.
U8 – U14 age teams - Remember, some teams may not practice during the spring season. The spring season is meant to be less formal, and give players an opportunity to continue to play, or give soccer a try. We do know the first game will be April 13. The MYSC home fields will be Kamiak Grass Soccer Field or Olympic View Middle School for U12-U14, Voyager Middle School U11 and Micro through U10 home games will be at Mariner High School Grass.
Coaches Needed: Mukilteo Youth Soccer is a community driven soccer organization. If you are interested to coach U8, U9 or U10 ages, contact Josh by going to the "Contact Us" section of the MYSC website and selet "Coaching Support".
MICRO: We are in need of a few coaches. First game April 13, all game times will be at 8:30AM, Mariner High School Grass. Sean Drought, Micro Coordinator (email@example.com) will coordinate this program. He will be in communication with program details. Or, a coach will be in touch with team details.
Practice Fields: Keep in mind, field space is at a premium – we will be sharing fields with ourselves (other teams), other community sports & school activities. Also, some fields have various schedules, i.e. open April 1, and then closed in May. Or, when the school track & field team has a meet – then a field may not be available. Flexibility is a must have!
Game Scores: No scores will be reported to North County. If you are a coach, contact info will be accessed in a similar method to fall soccer. It is strongly encouraged to contact the opposing coach to confirm game time & location. We will always make sure you receive updates on this process if anything changes.
UNIFORMS: I will have U8 – U14 uniforms available for purchase, Tuesday, April 9, @ Fairmount Elementary School parking lot, 4PM – 6PM. $10.00 for jersey or short, $3.00 for socks. Limited sizes available. This will be the only time uniforms will be available for sale for Spring season! A uniform purchase is not required, the spring season is less formal – and you can opt for a similar colored shirt, practice pinney, etc.
We are all looking forward to another great season of soccer!
